1 Lb of cooked penne
1 garlic clove,sliced
¼ cup of diced prosciutto
2 pinches of crushed red pepper flakes
1 cup of tomato sauce
½ cup of vodka
2 cups of heavy cream
Fresh basil leaves
Method for sauce
(While the pasta is cooking)
Saute the shallots until golden brown then
add the garlic and prosciutto and cook until golden.
Add the crushed red pepper flakes then
add the vodka and cook for about a minute.
Ignite the pan and let the alcohol cook off.
As the flame dies down add the tomato sauce
Cook for about 2-3 minutes then add the cream and
let the sauce reduce until it thickens slightly.
Correct for seasoning and add the torn basil leaves.
Mix the pasta and sauce together in the pan.
Add your desired amount of grated cheese and serve
